Former Mombasa County Governor Hassan Ali Joho has been off the public eye since he left office. Speaking to his supporters, Joho said his absence was due to ill health but was slowly recovering.
He expressed his concerns on the high cost of living, blaming the Kenya Kwanza regime for not acting on the issues.
“Millions of Kenyans are struggling with the high cost of living; basic commodities are too expensive for the majority of citizens. We as Azimio cannot accept that,” he said.
He also retaliated that he believes in Raila Odinga’s ideologies. “Raila is like me and I am like Raila. I subscribe fully to the ideology of Raila Odinga as my party leader.
“I will lead the demonstrations in front, Raila will be behind me,” he narrated to his supporters.
He insisted that the two kept in touch, with Joho being briefed on the progress of protests back home.
Joho resurfaced when Azimio supporters expect Odinga to give the way forward on the resumptions of protests after Ramadan.
“Immediately after Ramadan, I will announce when the countrywide mass actions will return, even as the bi-partisan talks continue,” Raila stated,
