The Energy Petroleum Regulatory Authority, EPRA, has released its monthly review on Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene. In its latest price listings, Super Petrol has increased by KES 16.96, Diesel has gone up by KES 21.32 and Kerosene has appreciated by KES 33.13 in Nairobi
This means that a litre of Super Petrol will now retail at KES 211.64, Diesel at KES 200.99 and Kerosene at KES 202.61 in Nairobi. All prices are inclusive of 16% VAT.
EPRA attributes the price increment to 4.8% landing cost increase from 739.21 USD per cubic metre in July 2023 to 774.67 USD per cubic metre in August 2023. Diesel increased by 12.52% from 701.99 USD per cubic metre to 789.89 USD per cubic metre while Kerosene increased by 19.79% from 690.58 USD per cubic metre to 827.26 USD per cubic metre.
The new prices are effective September 15 to October 14, 2023.
